Is Catching Fish Guaranteed on the Trip?

No. Unfortunately, the #1 rule of fishing applies here as well, fishing is fishing! Any angler knows this rule of thumb. Even though we consider ourselves experts on fishing on Eagle Nest Lake & the surrounding waters and will always give 100%, the fish are somewhat picky sometimes and getting them to bite is harder than expected!

How Much Should I Tip My Guide?

You should plan to tip your guide between 15% and 25% of the booked day rate. Base your tip on your guide’s diligence, friendliness, skill, willingness to teach and go the extra mile. Since your guide cannot guarantee how many fish you catch, this should not be a primary tipping factor.

Are Snacks & Drinks Provided?

Your guide will provide a small selection of snacks as well as waters. If you have anything special you would like to bring on your trip feel free to bring it along!

The advertised length of time for your guide trip is the amount of time that will be spent on the water. Your trip length does not include time to travel to fishing destination.

What is the Max Amount of Anglers Per Guide?

For boat trips the maximum amount of anglers per guide is 4. On our river trips the max amount of anglers per guide is 3. Tag-a-longs are free and not included in the per guide max. Keep in mind the more anglers on the trip the less 1 on 1 time with the guide. Larger groups can be accommodated with additional guides.
