Fishing Report 09/11/2014


An up to date report on whats working on the surrounding waters.

Eagle Nest Lake

Pike Fishing has been slow with a few taken from bank and boat. Bait fish fly patters are working well in white, black, chartruese colors. Dynamic LP Lures have been working as well

Salmon Fishing has been slow, but the snagging season is almost here! Ill keep everyone up to date on when they start to group up.

Trout fishing has been slow to fair using the following flies: Gnat, Adams, Damsel, Mosquito, wolly buggers. other reported catches have come from using Mepps, Panther Martins, Power Bait Original and Salmon Egg Peach and Pistol Pete's

Perch have been fishing the best using wolly buggers, bunny leeches, and a large variety of streamer patterns. can also be caught with Pistol Petes, Mepps, Kastmasters, Worms, Power Worms.

Cimarron River

Trout Fishing has been great on the Cimarron. Dry Flies or Nymphs! Take your choice or go with a Dry Fly to a Dropper. Caddis, Adams, Parachute Pheasant tail and hoppers for the Dry Flies sz 12-18. Nymphs include pheasant tail, hairs ear, copper john/red/green/copper, WD-40, W-Bead-40, ATs, and small emergers sz 16-22.

Red River

The Red River Is Fishing well with Caddis, Adams, Hoppers, Royal Wulf, Moth Man and a variety of mayfly patterns. nymphs include Copper John/red/copper/green, Green caddis nyphm/PCP, pheasant tail, hairs ear, W-bead-40, red worm, micro mayflies, ATs

can also be caught with Pistol Petes, Mepps, Kastmasters, Worms, Power Worms.

Rio Grande

The Rio has definitely been fishing a lot better this month. Hoppers on top and caddis patters. Nymphs include caddis patterns, micro mayflies, pheasant tail, hares ear, copper johns, ATs
