Cimarron River: The river is frozen from Tolby campground to the Pallisades, where you will start finding open water to fish. Fishing is good using Chonomids, emergers, egg pattern, glass duck, and small pheasant tails.

Eagle Nest Lake: As of Sunday, the ice was reported as being between 9 and

10 inches thick and the lake was open to foot traffic only. Fishing was good

using small ice jigs, worms and wax worms for perch. Fishing was fair using ice

jigs, worms and Power Bait for trout. Fishing for all other species was slow. For

updated ice conditions contact the State Park office at (575) 377-1594.
